Pi Run (3.14 miles), Albion Elementary School 7 April 2007
The race was a success for all those who attended. It was a rather
cold, windy day but that didn't stop us as we had lots of trophies,
prizes for the kids, and a raffle with donations from the community.
The turn-out was not as high as we expected but everyone had a great
time! We blame the low turnout on the postponement date due to the
storm on March 17 (postponed to 3/31). We had many comments at the end
from those who attended how organized and just plain fun it was, these
comments of course were well received by the 8th graders who hosted
the race. We had more walkers than runners. I do have the results for
the mile fun run and the results for the runners from the 5K. They
are as follows:
