"Good meeting I am in the process of notifying race directors to get the races sanctioned I suggest we again pay the fee and also set aside $1,000 for awards and expenses. We will work on MTC to support the GP. They need a USATF rep or team director."
Jerry LeVasseur
Good afternoon,
Yesterday (Nov. 19, 2006) we met at Seadogs in Topsham for the end of the year awards for this years Maine Gran Prix as well as discussions about the schedule for
2007.
The events chosen are as follows:
Mdiwinter Classic 10 Mile - February
Seadogs 5k - May
Downtown Mile- June
Clam Festival 5 mile- July
Craig Cup 5k X-C - October
Great Pumpkin 10k - October
A slightly different schedule than 2006 with better diversification on
distances and dates.
Another ammendment to the qualifications is that to have all races count in
awards you must be USATF registered prior to Downtown Mile in June. After
that date the results from previous races will not count in accumulation of
points.
Many Gift Certificates awarded to members of the team to be used at Maine
Running Company on Forest Ave in Portland.
Nice job to Jerry for coordinating and promoting this years Gran Prix and
hoping next year is even bigger and better!
