Poland Regional High School

$10 in advance --- $15 day of the race

 

Prizes for the top runners ---  Race t-shirt for the first 50 to register

 

All Proceeds go to help Light the Knights

 

Registration, check-in and number pick-up begins at 7 a.m. the day of the race in PRHS Lobby. Race time is 9:00 a.m.

Cut off for registration by mail is September 29.  Racers may continue to register by dropping registrations in the Co-curricular office or register the day of the race.  Parking will be available in the faculty and student parking lots on campus.

 

The course will feature a 5K loop beginning at the PRHS entrance and finishing at the Poland Regional High School Track.  Runners will run down Rt. 26, turn onto Tripp Lake Rd., intersecting with Bakerstown Rd. and finishing at PRHS Rt.11 parking lot.

Poland High School to hold Road Race

POLAND - Poland Regional High School is hosting the first annual Run For the Knights 5-K on Saturday, Oct. 6 starting at 9 a.m. at the high school.

Entry fee is $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the race. All proceeds will help "Light The Knights", lighting for the athletic fields.

Sportshoe Center Maine Marathon

This Sunday !! Volunteers are Urgently Needed !!

Race Day is all too close and we have many jobs to fill.  If you're not running - or even if you are - I ask you to please consider helping out - even for a few hours if you can spare it. 

Race-day tasks include registration, packet pickup, parking, chip removal, traffic control, water stops, course monitors and course and finish-line cleanup.  Even if you're planning to race, you can help on Saturday with registration/packet pickup, registration setup, or course setup.  Volunteers receive a T-shirt and a coupon for a Portland Sea Dogs ticket on Maine Marathon Day next April, and also will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 New Balance gift certificates toward the purchase of shoes at Sportshoe Center.

BELFAST — The City of Belfast was the back-drop on Sunday morning for the Child Shall Lead one-mile and the Pancake 5K road races sponsored by the Waldo County YMCA. Twenty-eight kids competed in the one-mile trek, while 104 adults ran in the five-kilometer race.

Results of the Child Shall Lead race in each division were:

(Oct 1): In an effort to build "Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities", Whitecap Builders and the Waldo County YMCA sponsored the annual one-mile race on Sunday. Parents were encouraged to run/walk with their children.

28 children along with parents or relatives ran in this race. All children participating were awarded medals and certificates.

(Oct 1): Over 100 runners turned out to participate in the Waldo County YMCA 14th Annual Pancake 5K. The race began and ended at the Belfast Area High School. The top ten runners are as follows:
