News and Press Releases Waldo County YMCA Child Shall Lead Road Race

(Oct 1): In an effort to build "Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities", Whitecap Builders and the Waldo County YMCA sponsored the annual one-mile race on Sunday. Parents were encouraged to run/walk with their children.

28 children along with parents or relatives ran in this race. All children participating were awarded medals and certificates.

Race results are as follows: 7 & Under Boys:

A pancake breakfast was held after the race. Linda Harvey of MSAD 34 cooked pancakes and the Belfast Rotary Club helped in serving. Many volunteers were on hand to help, including members of MSAD 34 Peer Leaders and the Waldo County YMCA Youth Advocacy Program members.
