In 2006 there were 30 plus particicipants in the Grand Prix and 2 clubs. Since this was the 1st year, we hope to double the participation in 2007. Gift certificates of $100 for teams and $75 for individuals were given out provided by Maine Running Company and MeUSATF. Other associations run successful programs with races bidding to be part of the GP because of the additional runners it brings to a race. With your help and participation all will benefit and the program will grow. Get the word to other clubs and runners.Getting info to Newspapers or get me a contact would be a great help.
May I mention again to send results to USATF and RunningUSA so our Maine runners can be Nationally ranked.
If you have any questions please contact me. Also, pass this on to anyone missing in the list.
Thanks to those that made the 1st year a great start.
I will send out a notice that can be posted as well as the rules Sunday.
