The Villagesoup.com of Rockland reports the following: Season-opening event to benefit Rockland track   Published: 03/28/2007 - Season-opening event to benefit Rockland track The Rockland Tiger Season-Opener 5-Kilometer Road Race/Walk is slated for Saturday, April 14 at Rockland District High School. Proceeds from the race/walk, and one-mile children's fun run, will benefit the Tiger track program. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the children's race starts at 10 a.m., with the 5K to follow. For more information, call Brandon Waltz at 975-4335. Waltz, the director of the event, is a senior student-athlete at RDHS.
